I started my research in 2005.  I wanted to provide our children and the children of my brothers and sisters a general idea about their family heritage in both the US as well as in the UK

To give credit where it's due - information in this website was gleaned from several sources,  including Ancesty.com contributers (Dana Pope, Margaret Harke, Jennifer LeMar, Susan Richards, &  others) Great Aunt Beulah (Summerlott)'s research started me off, and more information was pulled  from the Illinois Trails website, the Covington Family website, Rhonda McClure, Geneology.com  contributors including Mark Amonns, etc.  Thank you all for your assistance in helping me get to know a bit about my roots and I hope this helps other family members with their roots too!

Also, a quick hint with regard to some of the listed names - because the program required a first  and a last name for everyone I had to be a bit creative... so if you see FNU MNU LNU it means  First Name Unknown Middle Name Unknown Last Name Unknown.  You'll probably see quite a few of  these!
